Omelette in a Bag
Have you ever heard of this? Everyone gets involved in the process of making their own omelette. It's a great, cheerful conversation-starter for the morning.
- Have water boiling in a large pot.
- Have guests write their name on a resealable quart-size freezer bag with permanent marker.

- Crack 2 eggs into the bag (not more than 2) and shake to combine them .
- Provide a variety of ingredients for the guests to add to their egg bag, such as:
shredded cheddar,
crumbled feta,
shredded mozzarella,
cooked and crumbled bacon,
cooked and crumbled sausage,
diced ham,
chopped bell peppers,
chopped spinach,
diced onions,
diced tomatoes,
sauteed sliced mushrooms,
sliced black olives,
sun-dried tomatoes, etc.
- Remove all air from the bag and reseal the bag. Shake the contents some more.
- Place the bags into rolling, boiling water for exactly 13 minutes.
- Remove carefully. Using sissors, cut the top open and carefully roll the omelette out of the bag onto a plate.
Be prepared for everyone to be amazed. Consider serving fresh fruit and coffee cake, too.
NOTE: You can usually cook 6-8 omelets in a large pot. For more, prepare a second pot of boiling water.
