FIRST: Choose the meat - about 3 - 4 pounds:

 1 whole chicken
-- or --
 1 chuck roast
-- or --
 1 boston butt pork roast

Place meat into a crock pot.

SECOND: Choose the flavor:
Pour one of these over the meat:

1 large jar of your favorite salsa
     - for Mexican flavored meats

-- or --
1 bottle of your favorite BBQ Sauce
     - for Southern pulled meats

-- or --
2 Tablespoons of liquid smoke, and
    3 slices fresh ginger root
    ¼ cup soy sauce
     - for Hawaiian Kalua meats

Cover. Cook for 8 hours on low heat. Remove meat from the sauce. Shred.

Use these full flavored and tender meats in enchaladas or other Mexican dishes.

Serve with steamed rice for a Hawaiian meal.

Pull the meat apart and place onto hamburger buns, dot with more BBQ sauce, and enjoy a "pulled" southern sandwich.
